Fort Nelson man charged with Second Degree Murder

The Fort Nelson and North District RCMP have laid charges in the death of a Fort Nelson Woman.

The RCMP have charged Michael (aka: Emerson) Capot-Blanc with Second Degree Murder.  Capot-Blanc was the common-law partner of the deceased Jeaniel Berreault.

On January 30th, 2010, the Fort Nelson RCMP responded to a call to assist BC Ambulance staff with a woman in distress.  When the RCMP arrived at the location on the Fort Nelson First Nation they confirmed that the woman, 22 year-old Jeaniel Berreault was deceased.

Capot-Blanc has been remanded into custody until his next court appearance in March.
