Dawson Creek man in jail for extortion

A Dawson Creek man has been sentenced to two and a half years in prison on Thursday.
37 year old Kevin Patrick Cooke was found guilty of extortion, assault and uttering threats against a South Peace man last year.
Police say Cooke is also being accused of a number of unspecified sexual offences. Cooke is currently serving his sentence and is awaiting trial for those offences.
