Power now won't be fully restored until Wednesday
By Adam Reaburn
It could be Wednesday before all the power has been restored following snow storm that kicked off the long weekend.
BC Hydro continues to face problems as they try and restore power in the hardest hit area, the South Peace.  There are still over 400 customers without power all around Dawson Creek.  In a late evening update Monday, BC Hydro’s Dan Von Hollen says they expect to restore 200 customers by the end of the day on Monday.Â
That would leave another 200 customers that would still be without power until sometime on Tuesday.  There will still be a very small group of extremely rural residents that won’t get power until Wednesday.
On top of the snow storm, Hydro also had to deal with a motor vehicle incident Sunday evening that knocked out power to over 2,800 in Dawson Creek. Â The power was out from just after 5pm until 8pm.
If you are still without power and you’d like to make sure Hydro knows about your outage, call 1-888-769-3766.  You can also call that number for a update on your outage.

Crews from Kamloops, Fort St. James and Vancouver were brought in to help following the storm.Â
