Committee of the Whole and City Council meeting on Monday

Friday, September 11, 2009

There will be a Committee of the Whole meeting on Monday afternoon.

Beginning at 1 o'clock, Aldrich Pears and Associates and The Economic Planning Group will be presenting a Final Report on the Business Plan for an Energy Interpretive Centre and Visitor Centre. Now, at 3 o'clock, the City will be holding its regular Council Meeting.

There are four delegations and three proposed proclamations on the Agenda.

At 4:05 p.m. a representative from Northern Health will be making a presentation on Fluoride in Fort St. John's water supply.

In July, concerned resident Dorothy Folk persuaded Council to remove the chemical from the City’s water supply.

However, the City is seeking ministerial approval before implementing a ban.

On Monday, Northern Health's presentation will detail the positive effects of fluoride in the drinking system.

Meanwhile, there will be a public meeting regarding a Development Variance Permit Application in the City.
