The United Way of Northern British Columbia received a holiday bonus on Christmas Eve.

That's because Fort St. John city staff donated more than $4,700 to the organization.

Money was generated through employee payroll ductions, pot-luck lunches and a silent auction at the City's Christmas party.

United Way financially supports local organizations that provide vital services to the community.

Excellent! This kind of news

Excellent! This kind of news makes me happy to live in FSJ. Where was mayor Lantzy for this one? Anyway, good work city employees! Happy Holidays!
