Photo: City staff hand over a cheque worth $4,786.37 to representatives from The United Way of Northern British Columbia on Christmas Eve - Christine Rumleskie/Energeticcity.ca
The United Way of Northern British Columbia received a holiday bonus on Christmas Eve.
That's because Fort St. John city staff donated more than $4,700 to the organization.
Money was generated through employee payroll ductions, pot-luck lunches and a silent auction at the City's Christmas party.
United Way financially supports local organizations that provide vital services to the community.
