Spring is almost here  (:)) and the Community Arts Council and the North Peace Potters' Guild are seeking artists who would like to paint the terracotta colour plant pots that you will see around the community during the summer.

The well received event depends on local artists to create one of a kind designs on the pots that are then planted and displayed.  Each pot is sponsored by a local business or organization. About 50 new designs are contracted every year. After 2 years on display selected pots are offered for auction to the public. The whole event serves as a fundraiser for the Arts Council and local art organizations. It serves, as well,  to highlight the vibrancy of art in our community and showcase local artists and their work. The deadline for completion of the work is March 6th.

The pots are ready to pick up for painting. Paint is provided. If you are an artist who would like to contribute your talent  please call Tara at the Arts Council. 250 787 2781. You may sign out a pot at the Artspost, 10320 94th Avenue, during business hours or by appointment.
