Since I took over 150 photos, I will post (part of) them on a couple separate pages to make it easier for me to organize. If you wish to leave a comment, please email me at wheatamix@gmail.com with "dog jog photo comment" in the subject line so I don't delete it. I may post a few of the comments later, if I hear from you. If anyone took any pictures (that you don't mind sharing here) during the actual walk, please send them to me as well. I had to stay behind this time :-(
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Getting set up. It seems like a lot of work for a walk!
Our first guests arrive early to beat the registration rush. There's a lot of meeting, greeting, belly scratching and sniffing going on!
Some of the participants really got into the spirit and dressed up.You think neutering is tough??? Try being a guy dog wearing a tutu!
Some canine friends with their companions.
This young lady shows us how well HER pet behaves. I bet she doesn't even own a pooper scooper!
Since raising money is the reason for this event, we need to mention just how much of that was done.
Our Scotiabank team presented us with a check for two thousand one hundred fifty-six dollars! Way to go, and thanks so much!
A special thank-you to Team Kallie Kat (the folks in the bright yellow t-shirts) for their team's winning contribution. My apologies... but I no longer have most of the totals in front of me.
And thank-you to Shelley Calder, our top individual contributor (shown here receiving a signed poster of her favourite Dog Whisperer, Cesar Millan. I agree with you, Shelley... he's awesome!
Also... a great big thank-you to Lorie Chortyk from the head office for her contribution of $3500 to our shelter.
We would LOVE to be able to personally thank and give prizes to each and every person that raised any amount of money for our "Paws for a Cause" walk for the animals. You are all winners in our eyes. Please know that EVERY single dollar raised helps our pets. We need a lot of money to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care for each animal, no matter how small and rely on our community to help with this.
We did recognize a couple of our highest individual and team contributors (shown above) during the event, but would also like to thank the rest of you who went to so much effort to contribute. Your contributions helped raise over $15,000 for the North Peace SPCA. The BCSPCA as a whole raised over $1,000,000.
Please stay tuned for PART 2!
