Canada's National Women's Hockey team will train in Dawson Creek, in preparation for the 2010 Olympic Games.
A release on the Hockey Canada website states the Women's team will partake in a training camp in Dawson Creek, from May 25 to June 17, before the team heads to Calgary for the winter.
Being held at the new Encana Events Centre, the camp will feature at least 26 players who will be competing for one of 21 spots on Canada's Olympic team. It will feature both on and off-ice training, for both players and staff, led by national women's coach Melody Davidson.
The Canadian women will train together all winter long, and will play a season of games including several against team USA, which won the women's world championships, with a 4-1 win over Canada in the gold medal game, in Finland last week.
