There’s been another heavy equipment theft in the South Peace.

The Dawson Creek RCMP confirms a John Deere excavator was stolen, from a sub-division construction site early last Thursday morning.

It’s described as a yellow 2001 model, 200-LC, with Lucienne Contracting Limited decals on both sides.

Police say evidence at the scene suggests a truck with a low boy trailer was used, to haul it away.

Meantime, there was also more weekend vandalism in Dawson Creek.

Police report several large rocks were thrown, through business and vehicle windows Friday night and early Saturday.

In both these cases they’re taking public information assistance calls, at the Dawson Creek detachment and crime stoppers numbers…784-3700 and 1-800-222-84-77.
