Fort St. John’s Denny Morrison has been named one of Canada’s speed skaters of the year.

Morrison, along with 4 other skaters, he was honoured at Speed Skating Canada’s AGM and banquet on Saturday night in Quebec City. Morrison and Jeremy Wotherspoon were singled out in particular, for surpassing expectations all season long, concluding with Denny’s 1500 metre world record skate in March.
