The Fort St. John RCMP was involved in another high speed pursuit on the weekend.
Although there is no official confirmation from the RCMP, the event happened Saturday morning shortly after 1am when several officers were in pursuit of a truck. The flat deck truck was chased out on 100th street past the College and then turned onto the West Bypass Road.
The chase came to an end near the Fort St. John Water Treatment plant where the passenger, of the truck was apprehended, but the driver fled on foot.
A police dog was brought in and the RCMP searched for the driver in the area behind Finch. At this time it’s still unclear if the RCMP where able to catch the driver of the vehicle.
