A Grande Prairie man was taken to an Edmonton hospital in critical condition, after a bar fight took to the streets this past weekend. The feuding patrons left the bar and, walked to a railroad crossing, where the RCMP says one man was assaulted. Police are withholding all other details, expect to say the incident appears to be a case of aggravated assault. It was one of many calls on a busy Canada Day weekend for the Grande Prairie Mounties and, they say alcohol was a factor in many of the complaints. They investigated eight assaults and laid five impaired driving charges.
