A few Fort St. John Golfers are participating in the BC Amateur Golf Championship.

Day One of the championship wrapped up earlier today with Travis Eggers, Adam Henning, and Pieter De Bruyn of Fort St. John and Lakepoint Golf and Country Club participating. Adam ended day one with a score of +2, Pieter had a harder time ending with a +12. Adam is tied for 15th and Pieter is tied for 120th. Travis Eggers posted an even Par 70 in his first round, leaving him 5 strokes off the lead heading into second round action on Wednesday.

The B.C. Amateur Championship is contested over four rounds of stroke play (72 holes) with a cut to 70 and ties after 36 holes.

The tournament is taking place at Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver. The leader of the event after one round is Adam Hadwin of Abbotsford who shot a -5.
