For the record, organizers now say there were 347 protest paddlers and 166 protest boats on the Peace River on Saturday. They are thus claiming a record turnout, for the annual Paddle for the Peace event.

Among the local paddlers were Fort St. John City Councillor Larry Evans and his wife, Joan. Protesters also came from as far away as Austria and Germany as well as from Vancouver Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Okanagan Valley.

The Peace Valley Environmental Association and the West Moberly First Nation again hosted the third annual Site C Dam protest.
