A single vehicle accident has caused the closure of the Alaska Highway near the Forest Lawn Trailer Park.

That is the area near the Honey Farm in between Fort St. John and Taylor. Early reports indicate two people where in the vehicle, a young female occupant was trapped and the Fire Department had to free her. There was also a young child in the vehicle that escaped with very little injuries.

While clean up is underway the Highway has been closed. Please use the Swanson Lumber Road or the Baldonnel Road as detour routes. The Ministry of Highways is expecting to have the road re-opened by 8pm tonight.
