Body of Clayton Russ Found

The body of Clayton Russ has been found near Fairview Alberta.

Just after 9am, Alberta time, this morning construction workers were working on the Dunvegan Bridge near Fairview, and spotted a human body in the river. A Helicopter pilot who was assisting with work on the bridge was able to keep visual contact with the body and provide an exact location to the Fairview RCMP. Clayton was found 3km east of the Dunvegan Bridge.

North Peace Search and Rescue along with a number of other groups spent 4 days focusing there search on an area from the Pine River to the Clayhurst Bridge. Constable Passarell says Search and Rescue felt this was the best place to look. Clayton’s family have been notified and are requesting their privacy during this difficult time. Fairview is about 178km east of Fort St. John.
