The final day at the Canadian Women’s Amateur Championships is now in the books, and while it was super-tight coming into the day, Stacey Keating of Victoria, Australia got the best of it. She shot a 2 under 70 today, to take her to 3 under for the tourney, and the title of Canadian Amateur Champion. Iin fact she was the only golfer to finish under par after four rounds.

Barrie Ontario’s Stephanie Sherlock came second at an even par 288.

Fort St. John’s Kirby Dreher came into the day at 9 over par. She had a great last day, shooting a 5 under 67 that was the best score of the day, and shot her into 6th place overall.

Now, would her final day charge be enough to help Team B.C. win the interprovincial battle? Absolutely it would. In fact, the entire B.C. team had a good day; they came in trailing Ontario by 4 strokes, and in the end B.C. won it with a score of 7 over. That was 4 strokes ahead of Ontario, while Quebec came in third.
