For the first time in ten days, Fort St. John has finally received a rainfall total worth mentioning.

Environment Canada says we registered 5.2 mm yesterday which was the first day since August 10th (when we received 5.4 mm), that we have received as much as 1.5 mm.

It pushed the monthly total to 20.2 mm and by the time this day is over it could be close to30 mm, or more than half the August norm of 56.9 mm.

Considering the 3 mm we received between midnight and five o’clock this morning, the monthly total is already more than Environment Canada’s revised total for all of July, 20.6 mm.
