This map shows the approximate area of all three fires.

A forest fire is burning Northwest of Cecil Lake. The fire started sometime late this morning and is already 80 hectares in size. It’s located about 53 km Northeast of Fort St. John near the Osbourne River area. Currently two air tankers are fighting the fire, along with a ground crew from Fort St. John and several helicopters. The fire is not near any commercial or residential properties. There is also another two fires in the same area. Both are about only 2 hectares in size. It’s believed all three fires were started by lightning. The North Peace is still under a high risk of Forest Fires.
