Although gasoline prices fell in Fort St. John last week, they remain relatively steady across the country.

The new weekly survey of Calgary-based MJ Ervin and Associates shows, the 60 city average is essentially unchanged, at a dollar 27 point eight cents a liter, up three-fifths of cent.

The common posted price in Fort St. John dropped three cents last week, to a dollar 42 point four cents.

However, that is still more than five cents a liter higher than the price in all the other BC survey cities except Victoria, at dollar 42 point seven.

It is also still 30 cents a liter higher than it was this time last year but, it should be noted that on August 29th last year, local filling stations posted a five cent a liter hike, to a dollar 16 point nine.
