The North Peace Museum is getting ready to celebrate the addition of two new cabins.

The Museum will hold a "Celebration of the Cabins" this Saturday when the North West Mounted Police Barracks will be on display, along with the information on the new building that will be added to the Museum site shortly, the Paddy Carrol Cabin.

Larry Evans, a member of the North Peace Historical Society, says the North West Mounted Police Barracks was located south of Lookout Point:[asset|aid=191|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=Larry Evans – History of NW Mounted Police Barracks_1_Pub.mp3]
