After only an hour power has been restored.

The power went out just before 4pm Saturday afternoon and caused an outage that affected 2,200 customers in and around Fort St. John. At the moment BC Hydro says the outage was caused by a Voltage Problem or Overload. An outage caused by either of those cases happens due to power quality problems or an overloaded circuit.
