Power has finally been restored to almost 2,200 customers in and around Fort St. John

The lights went out starting at 10:30 Monday morning for some, while others lost power at 12:30 pm.

BC Hydro says the entire outage was caused by vandalism, but hasn’t given details as to what type of vandalism it might have been.

The outage affected the area from Fish Creek to Montney and lasted over 12 hours in some instances.
