Trafficking charges laid for a resident of Horse Lake

HORSE LAKE, A.B. - Beaverlodge RCMP have released information regarding drug trafficking charges in Horse Lake, Alberta.

Initial reports indicate, three people were sent to hospital, one with serious injuries and, another may be missing, following a downtown hotel fire early this morning, in Prince George. It broke out between 6.30 and 7 o’clock, at the Columbus Hotel, described in some news reports, as a city landmark. Police closed off nine city blocks in the area but, reports from the scene suggest it took less than three hours before the building was in ashes. One of those sent to hospital required burn treatment and, the other two were victims of smoke inhalation. It’s unclear how many of the injured, if any, is among the ten long-term tenants, who lived in the hotel. There’s also no word yet on a possible cause but, this is the third major fire in the city in less than three months. Recall Canfor’s plywood plant was burned to the ground in a May 26th fire, taking over 250 full time jobs with it. Then sparks from that fire ignited a warehouse destroying it and, a large pile of rail ties stored several kilometers away, in a CN-Rail yard.
