Rain helping the Osborne River Fire

The rain has helped to contain the growth of the Osborne Fire. The fire is still about 340 hectares in size, but Spokesperson Jillian Chimko says they expect even more rain in the area of the fire tomorrow. Because of the assistance from the weather, the Forest Fire Service has pulled off one of the three crews working the fire to allow them time to rest.

The blaze was started by lightning and is not threatening any commercial or residential property.
