It occurred about 10.45 at the Blueberry Esso, north of Fort St. John, where a man in possession of an axe fled the scene with numerous store items, including alcohol, tobacco and cash.

Police searching the area later pulled over a vehicle on the Mile 95 Road, made the aforementioned arrests, and found the stolen store items.

The male suspect is scheduled to make his first court appearance today, and is expected to remain in police custody.
