Fort St. John Big Brothers and Big Sisters received its largest single donation ever at this past weekend’s Terra Energy Golf Tournament.

The tournament, which saw companies donate cash in lieu of golf prizes, netted the charity $22,000 in donations for its programs.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters Executive Director Danielle Armstrong says she was astonished at the donation.

The money raised will go into the charity’s operating fund, as well as to fund a new program for elementary-school girls that will encourage healthy bodies and healthy minds.
