One man is dead following an explosion at a well site near Pouce Coupe.

The Dawson Creek RCMP along with the DC Fire Department were called to a well site at approximately 7pm Friday night. Once on the seen it was determined that there had been an explosion at the well site. Two people were taken to Dawson Creek Hospital with minor injuries and were released from hospital shortly after the incident.

The other person was air lifted to Edmonton, but later died as a result of his injuries. The names of the vicitims are not being released pending notification of families and the investigation continues.
