Fort St. John’s Jr. B Huskies play two pre-season games this weekend. You can catch them on Friday night, as they take on the Dawson Creek Jr. Canucks, at the North Peace Arena, at 7:30pm. This game will be a fundraiser, with all tickets for 5 bucks, and all proceeds going to the ‘Slice For Life’ campaign to bring a CT scanner to Fort St. John. The pups will then head to Dawson Creek for a return game on Saturday night. The regular season opens next weekend, with the Home Opener scheduled for Friday the 26th, once again against Dawson Creek. They play the next night (Saturday the 27th), also at home, against the Grande Prairie Wheelers. Once again, you can catch the Huskies road games live on Moose FM, starting with the first road game in Beaverlodge on October 3rd. On Friday, Moose FM’s Jon Zacks spoke with head coach Bob Kalb about this year’s team – click below to listen to that interview in its entirety.
