Today marked the first day to file nomination papers for the upcoming Civic Election on November 15th. At last check, only one candidate has come forward to file. Incumbent city councillor Don Irwin has filed his papers to Chief Election Officer Janet Prestley. The only other incumbent to officially declare his intention to run again is Mayor Jim Eglinski, who has yet to file his papers for election. Candidates must file nomination papers by 4pm on October 10th.
