Drivers from Fort St. John to South Taylor have been wondering why yellow ribbons are wrapped around trees, parking meters and sign poles in the area. The ribbons, which have also graced poles and trees in other communities across Canada, are a symbol that a local soldier is coming home. The ribbons in the Peace Region were placed by the family of Cole Fouillard, 21, who is coming home tonight. The Taylor man, who joined the military in 2005, has been stationed in Afghanistan with the Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry since February of this year. He returns home at the same time as soldiers from Edmonton and other cities in Ontario.
