The North Peace Secondary School Ookapiks girls volleyball team were in Grande Prairie over the weekend for the Big Red Volleyball tournament.
The girls were the defending tournament champs, and they sure looked like it – winning 14 of the 16 sets they played.
They would cruise into the final, where they faced the host Grande Prairie composite team, and again, they would prevail. They won the final in three sets, and repeat as tourney champs.
Special mentions go to Amy Norman, who was a tourney all-star, and Dana Cranston, who was named tournament MVP.
The girls will be right back at it this coming weekend, when they host an 8 team tourney at NPSS.
