Fort St. John seniors looking for a unified voice are invited to attend a presentation this Saturday on how a council of seniors can help them get their message out.
The Seniors’ Council of Prince George will be in Fort St. John this Saturday, Sept. 20, speaking on the logistics on running a council.
The council was invited by Fort St. John City Councillor Larry Evans, who hopes the event will spur discussion on the creation of a council in Fort St. John.

Evans says a council would benefit all seniors groups by representing their common concerns to the public.

Evans also says a council could offer services to seniors.
One service the Prince George council offers is a retired tradesperson directory that allows seniors the chance to get help at a reduced cost from other seniors when they need it.
The event takes place at the Quality Inn from 2 to 5 p.m. and is open to everyone.
