There were no injuries reported but, residents of the Marquis Centre Apartments in Fort St. John were evacuated, because of a fire early this morning.

The fire department responded to the call at about one o’clock and, managed to contain the fire to the southwest exterior entrance of the building. It’s located at 103-24, 99th avenue and, residents were allowed back into their suites, by about two o’clock.

The RCMP is taking public information assistance calls, at the detachment and crime stoppers numbers….250-787-8140 and 1-800-222-8477.
