As students return to classes this week, fewer schools in the district will be missing staff members thanks to a combination of improved staff retention this year as well as new recruitment methods.

Director of Instruction Dave Sloan says recruitment efforts have included participation in a province-wide teacher recruitment program as well as travelling to other towns and provinces in order to bring teachers to the Peace Region.
