Finally there’s some good news to report in terms of Fort St. John gasoline prices. By 11 o’clock this morning a majority of the cities filling stations had dropped their posted price by ten cents a litre to a dollar 34 point nine. That’s 16 cents higher than the new national average survey price of a dollar 18 point five. However, it’s within five cents of the average price of the other five BC cities, on the the new 60-city cross-Canada survey published yesterday, by Calgary-based MJ Ervin and Associates. The high end posted price in the city remains a dollar 47 point nine at the 100th street Esso outlet. That is still 40 cents a liter higher than the countries low end prices in Ontario.
