Project Porchlight is looking for you. Project Porchlight officially kicked off it’s campaign to reduce energy consumption in Fort St. John on Saturday. This is Regional Coordinator Jane Baker [asset|aid=387|format=mp3player|formatter=asset_bonus|title=34ca0e89ea9256fa5075d053d748d11e-Jane Baker-1_1_Pub.mp3] The hope is to hand out 6,000 Compact Florescent Light-bulbs in Fort St. John during the month of October. If that goal is accomplished enough power will be saved here in Fort St. John to power 45 average homes for an entire year. MLA Richard Neufeld was at the event and says BC Hydro has a goal to get 50% of it’s future power needs from conservation.
