The Fort St. John RCMP is reporting a robbery last night at the Econolodge liquor store.

At about 7:30 yesterday evening, a suspect went in to the store demanding money from the till. He grabbed the attendant in what police describe as "a violent manner", and after being handed the cash – he ran to a running vehicle and fled the scene.

The suspect is described as a native male, approximately five foot six, with a medium build, with long, greasy hair. He was wearing a light purple hoodie and blue jeans.

The vehicle is question is described only as a small, light colored newer model car – no plate number was recorded.
