Site C Protesters storm into a BC Hydro Public Consultation Meeting – Garet Hindman/Energeticcity.ca

Round 2 of BC Hydro’s Site C consultations got off to a shaky start today as protestors opposing both the dam and the consultation process itself crashed the first of a series of stakeholder meetings held at the Cultural Centre. Even before protestors arrived, tension at the meeting between Hydro officials and members of the public was palpable, as community members expressed their concerns with the project. Protestor Vernita Hofmann calls Hydro’s consultation process a farce.
