CT Scanner Campaign 90% of the Way

The Fort St. John Hospital Foundation has received another $20,000 donation, towards the purchase of a new CT Scanner.

The memorial donation comes from Doug and Shelley Gallinger, in memory of Doug’s mother, Veronika a long-time highly respected employee, of the Fort St. John office, of the Provincial Ministry of Agriculture.

It raises the Scanner fund-raising total, to $1,162,000, or about 90 percent, of the November 30th objective.

Meantime, the Foundation and Northern Health will hold the Grand Opening of the hospital’s new rehab department, at one o’clock on Thursday afternoon.

The public is invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony, in the basement of the hospital.

New equipment is now in place there,
thanks to last year’s over-the-top, “Back to Living” fund raising campaign, which raised 15 thousand dollars more, than the 225 thousand dollar target.
