False alarm at the Stonebridge Hotel

Fort St. John firefighters and police were called to the Stonebridge Hotel just after 11:00am today after smoke was seen streaming out of the sixth floor of the building. However, upon investigation by fire crews, it was determined to be a false alarm. The smoke was attributed to work being done on the roof of the building that somehow caused a burnout in the main air intake unit.
