Huskies win squeeker in Sexsmith

The Huskies were expecting easy revenge over the Vipers on Friday night, and it looked like they may well get it, after scoring the first two goals early in the game. But the Vipers struck back three times, bringing the score to 3-2 for the Vipers after 1.

The second period was a little sloppy, with both teams having trouble connecting passes, and the Vipers fighting back to 4-4.

The third period was filled with action, with goals coming in droves.

With the game tied at 5, it looked like goals from Kole Norris and Steven Fast (his third) would put the game away. But, Ian Hollingworth scored a goal that bounced through traffic and over Blain, and then a (suspect) interference penalty to Dustin Heitman on a Huskies two-on-one, allowed Nolan Trudeau to notch his third goal, and tie the game at 7. But, the Vipers lost their focus, and only 5 seconds later, Steven Fast walked into the Sexsmith zone, and scored the game winner.

The final score was 8-7 Huskies. Here is a highlights package
