Oil and Gas Conference Donates to CT Scanner

The 2008 Oil and Gas Conference will donate over $55,000 to the Fort St. Hospital Foundation CT Scanner Campaign.

The decision was made Monday night at Fort St. John City Council after it had received a report stating the conference had a net income of over $180,000. Lori Ackerman was a Co-Chair for the Conference and said the City gave a total of $150,000 to the conference. In the end the Council decided to still contribute the $25,000 in sponsorship to the event and to reimburse the remain $125,000 to the city. That leaves approximately $55,600 that will be donated to the CT Scanner Campaign.

The Hospital Foundation hopes to wrap up the CT Scanner Campaign next Monday December 1st with the annual Christmas Tree Light-Up.
