Ookapiks place 6th at provincials

The NPSS Ookapiks girls volleyball team is on its way back from Kelowna, after a solid 6th place showing at the provincial championships.

The girls had been on a roll all season long, with tournament wins including Grande Prairie, Prince George, Fort St. John, and zones at Dawson Creek two weeks ago.

Recently, Dana Cranston, who has been touted as one of the top junior players in the country, signed a letter of intent to play collegiate v-ball at Colorado State.

The girls continued that form early at BCs, but lost their final two games, against very tough opposition, to fall out of medal contention.

Congratulations to the girls on an outstanding season, and stay tuned for more info on the future of some top-notch players.
