The Pimm’s Production Atom Flyers (9 year olds) hosted their second league game on Sunday afternoon at the Kid’s Arena to visiting Grande Prairie AA Atom Vipers. Grande Prairie’s top Atom team consisting of mostly 10 year olds came out strong in the first scoring four times before intermission. The Fort St. John squad rallied for four of their own in the second led by Aaron Kosinsky who contributed with a hattrick all of which were assisted by linemate Jacob Lang, and defenseman Austin Crossely going end to end to score their fourth goal of the game. Adam Bowie added FSJ’s fifth and final goal midway through the third period, but was not enough to catch up to the Vipers. Goaltenders Jesse McArthur and Coleman McCaffrey faced 63 shots between the pipes. The highlight of the game came with 47 seconds left in the first period when Netminder Jesse McArthur shut down Grande Priairie’s captain during a penalty shot.

The Pimm’s Production Atom Flyers next league game is in Grande Prairie November 08, 2008 for their second of three encounters with the Vipers.
