RCMP release names of deceased in head-on collision Saturday

Police have now released the names of two people killed in a motor vehicle accident near Fort Nelson over the weekend. On November 1st just after 10:00am, an RCMP member was enroute to Fort Nelson after attending a bus crash south of Prophet River, when the officer came across the scene of a two-vehicle collision about 80 kilometres south of Fort Nelson. Neven William MacDonald, 25, and Dominique Michael Roberts, 5, both of Fort Nelson, were pronounced dead at the scene after their Dodge Durango collided head-on with a tractor-trailer unit. The driver of the tractor trailer unit was uninjured, but was taken to hospital in Fort Nelson for precautionary reasons. RCMP are still investigating the cause of the collision, but they expect road conditions were a factor in the accident.
