Spectra Energy has announced the completion of its expansion of the Grizzly Valley Natural Gas gathering system.
This was the third phase of pipeline expansion, connecting the Grizzly Valley to the Pine River processing plant, near Chetwynd.
The company says the 17 kilometres of new pipeline, running parallel to existing lines, will add 40 million cubic feet per day of capacity to its existing infrastructure, which will help meet growing costomer needs in the region.
The expansion took a little less than a year, from application to today’s completion.
As part of the project, an existing de-activated pipeline was removed and replaced with a new pipe.
