VE Brandl Flyers Lose First Game of Season

The VE Brandl Flyers lose their first All Peace game to bring their record to 4-1 against the undefeated Sexsmith Pee Wee Vipers on Saturday.  The Flyers had some trouble getting going and fell behind 8-3 before coming on strong half way through the second period, led by some timely checks and two goals from Gavin Gould.  Salina Edwards scored once and assisted two others in a strong effort.  Jordan Kosinsky, Jarod Lang, Ricky Bateman, and Emerson Loewen all scored for the Flyers to bring them within one 8-7, before the Vipers scored an empty net goal to finish the Flyers off with only 18 seconds left in the game.

The Flyers are off to Grande Cache next Saturday for an All Peace Game.
