BC Power Need Study

The guidelines have been set for a major study of British Columbia’s electrical needs over the next 30 years.
The study by the B.C. Utilities Commission is to start in the spring.
It will look at the province’s power requirements and the transmission lines needed to deliver that power.
Energy Minister Richard Neufeld says the aim is to make sure B.C. has a clean, affordable and reliable energy supply.
As a part of the study, the commission plans to hold public feedback hearings but there’s nothing yet on times or locations.
