Flyers down G.P.

It had looked like an appetizing matchup, but in the end, it was more like a good game of shinny.

The Athletics showed up with 8 skaters, and the scoreboard was on running time by the time the first period was over.

Dustin Kersey led the way with a first period hat-trick, while Ian Munro, Tyler Brough, and Jeff Shipton each added a pair.  David Alexander tallied a goal and four assists, while Grande Prairie got a first period goal from Jared Supko, and a third period goal from Dean Watson, in a 10-2 Flyers win.

Both teams were missing a bunch of players, likely due more to Christmas parties than illness or injury.  Rob Larsen ran the bench for FSJ, while Troy Hunt had an easy night in goal.

The win keeps the Flyers in control of first place, heading into a Saturday night game in Falher.

Check back later for more info.
